Auto Repair: The Top Ten Mistakes Made By Your Mechanic

Number One:

Not confirming the concern. Confirming a repair concern is a basic diagnostic principle frequently overlooked. To fix a problem, the first thing one must do is recognize it.

Number Two:

Insufficient Road Testing. The importance of a thorough road test (even for an oil change) is well documented in automotive training manuals. Yet, many technicians consider driving the vehicle into the shop good enough.

Number Three:

Misdiagnosing. For the above reasons and a multitude of others, your vehicle is misdiagnosed more often than not. Mechanics will spend hours chasing the wrong problem, wasting your time and money.

Number Four:

Throwing parts at a problem. To compensate for lack of skills, mechanics often just throw parts at the problem in the hope of getting lucky. Its common to hear mechanics say I replaced this, this, this, and that, and the problems still not fixed. This goes right back to mistake number one: confirm the problem with diagnostics, then proceed.

Number Five:

Not addressing primary concerns first. Technicians often spend an inordinate amount of time looking for easy sells that will fatten their paychecks. Theres nothing wrong with this provided theres no charge for the inspection, it doesnt conflict with your time, and the upsell suggestions are valid (theyre frequently not). However, this type of free inspection and the subsequent upselling too often overshadows the primary concern. Sowhats wrong with my car?

Number Six:

Overconfidence. Too often unqualified technicians get in over their heads. Rather than defer to a more experienced technician or facility, they often keep going and do more harm. Hows it goThe road to hell is paved with good intentions?

Number Seven:

Taking shortcuts. In the ongoing effort to beat the clock, technicians will create a host of problems: breaking parts, snapping bolts, short circuiting sensitive electronics. Refer to Auto Repair: How Can They Screw Up an Oil Change for a great discussion.

Number Eight:

Poor Repairs. Whether through incompetence or laziness, mechanics frequently dont do repairs correctly. Its often sloppy work. Forgotten bolts, parts not lined up correctly, or components not re-installed properly are common. It gets worse with computer repairs: incorrect software programming, coding, and resynchronization protocols are just a few.

Number Nine:

Not confirming repairs. After a repair is complete, its important to re-check to ensure that the problem is indeed fixed. Too often parts are thrown in and the car is pulled out only to pull in another victim.

Number Ten:

Making a mess. If the above nine mistakes werent bad enough, there are now greasy fingerprints on the hood and steering wheel, and two big greasy boot marks on the carpet.

Car Warning Lights: Is My Car Going To Blow Up? Myths & Facts

Todays vehicles are equipped with an array of warning lights. Of course were all familiar will the seat belt warning and the door ajar indicator; however, with the automotive industrys technological advancements there are a number of warning lights that can be quite alarming.

Following is a Question and Answer Guide on some of the more common Warning Light concerns. Note: due to the frequency of the Check Engine Warning Light, it has a section all its own. Visit www.repairtrust.com/check.html.

1) SRS Light (Supplemental Restraint System): the supplemental restraint system is your Airbag System. It may incorporate a variety of active, passive, and even pre-safe technology depending on the vehicle. Given that the SRS System is a safety system, it is well monitored with numerous sensors and automatic self-tests. The slightest malfunction in this system illuminates the SRS light.

"Can the vehicle be driven with an SRS Light on?" Yes, at the owners risk. There are thousands of vehicles on the road without SRS technology.

"Is the airbag going to blow up?" Its unlikely. When the SRS Light is on the system is inoperative.

2) ABS Lights: The Anti-Lock Brake System Warning Light is another common occurrence in todays vehicles. The ABS system helps to keep you from skidding out of control during braking by limiting your wheels from locking up/skidding.

The ABS system is often integrated with traction control and stability systems, all of which are designed to keep you safe during panic stops, wheel slippage, and handling.

"Do I need brakes?" You might, but thats not why the ABS Light is on. The ABS Warning System does not monitor disc brake pad or disc brake rotor wear (see the Padlight Warning section below)

"Can the vehicle be driven?" Like the SRS system, the vehicle can be driven at the owners risk as there are many vehicles still on the market without the enhanced safety features of ABS.

"Why is my ABS light on? How do I reset the ABS Light?" These are simple questions with a multitude of answers depending on the vehicle in question. For a QUICK and FREE solution, follow the information and guidelines for Resetting Check Engine Light, and apply them to your ABS light.

3) Low Coolant Light: The Low Coolant Light will come on when the coolant drops below the coolant level sensorgenerally one to two quarts. If this light is on, there are two primary possibilities. The most common is a coolant leak. The other is an electrical fault in the warning lamp circuit. Have them checked out.

"Can it be driven?" If there are no major leaks, the vehicle is not overheating (and does not start to overheat), and there is still some evidence of coolant in the overflow bottle, it can be driven. If you can see coolant leaking on the groundtow it. When in doubt, always tow it!

4) Red Oil Light On: Stop driving immediately and shut the engine off! If a Red Oil Warning Light comes on PAY ATTENTION.

The best case scenario is that your engine oil is a little low. The second best case scenario is that there is an electrical issue with the Oil Level Warning System circuit.

First, follow your owners manuals instructions to check your oil. If low, add as recommendedmake sure you dont see it dripping or pouring out on the ground, which would indicate a major engine leak.

If the oil is not low and your engine is making ticking, knocking, or unusual noises, Tow it!

If everything appears ok, and youre a bit of a gambler, it may just be an issue with the warning lamp circuit. In this case, get your vehicle checked out at your earliest convenience.

The worst case scenario is internal engine damage.

Note: many of todays vehicles have very sensitive and sophisticated Oil Level Warning Systems. You may be alerted of oil level too high, or oil level too low. Again, refer to your owners manuals instructions.

So whether its a 1993 Ford Aerostar Check Oil Light, or a question of Why does oil light flash in Saab automobile, PAY ATTENTION!

5) Red Brake Warning Lights: Generally, Red Warning Lights mean DANGER. In the case of a Red Brake Warning Light, there may be a hydraulic brake fluid leak. If the brake pedal feels abnormal or spongydont driveTow It!

"Can I drive it?" If the car is stopping ok, and youre a gambler, go ahead. If the brake pedal feels different than usual, or if the vehicle is not stopping properly, dont drive it!

Note: make sure that your emergency brake is not on or partially engaged, as this will illuminate a Red Brake Warning Light.

6) Yellow Brake Warning Light (Padlight): This is an early warning system for brake pad wear. Essentially, as your disc brake pads wear down, at a certain point a sensor is tripped to alert you that you will need brakes soon.

"Can I drive the vehicle, and for how long?" Yes, you can continue to drive. How long depends on your driving style. City drivers (city driving is generally harder on brakes due to the constant stop and go) will likely need their brakes addressed before someone who does primarily highway driving.

"Will I do more damage to the brakes?" Depending on how long you continue to drive you could conceivably wear your disc brake pads down to the metal backing plate, which could then damage your disc brake rotors and, in rare cases, the disc brake calipers. However, with many of todays brake systems, the replacement of the disc brake rotors along with the disc brake pads is required or strongly recommended.

Important: It is better to have your brakes checked early to increase the possibility of saving money by not having to replace the rotors. However, many of todays brake disc pads and rotors require replacement not due to wear, but due to rust and corrosion; thus rotor replacement is often necessary anyway. Brake calipers rarely need replacing during regular brake work.

7) Air Suspension Lights (Airmatic, Air Ride, Hydraulic Suspensions): Suspension Warning Lights illuminate when the suspensions monitoring system has detected a fault. Often there is a leakeither air or hydraulic fluid.

"Can I drive it?" Sometimes. But if the suspension is lower than usual, and/or the vehicle just doesnt feel rightTow It! Extensive damage could result if the suspension drops too low while driving.

Note: air suspension system repairs are best left to the best, state-of-the-art service center you can find, preferably a dealership.

8) Tire Pressure Warning Light: This recent technological development causes quite a bit of confusion. Put simply, if your tire is getting low on air, your car lets you know via sensors mounted in various places depending on the model.

"What is the low tire pressure warning light reset procedure?" Sometimes the reset procedure is as simple as pressing a button. Other times one has to set the tire pressures, recalibrate the on-board computer, genuflect and cross two fingers. Check your owners manual or call a specialist or dealer.

Note: Local shops and franchises (for the most part) lack familiarity with Tire Pressure Monitoring Systems given that this is a fairly recent technological development. You can refer to How to Reset Check Engine Light, and follow the tips, and suggestions for getting it reset.

9) Emission Warning Light: This light is similar to the Check Engine Light. Many European models such as Volvos have this type of Warning System. Its essentially letting you know that an emissions component has failed or detected a fault. Follow the Check Engine Light information and tips to address this particular warning light.

Note: make sure you take it to a shop equipped to handle emissions work.

10) Resetting Oil Lights (Oil Change Warning Lamps): Whether its a Toyota Oil Light Procedure, an Oil Change Warning Light Reset 2005 GMC Envoy, or the process to Reset 1999 M3 Oil Service Light, all require a specific course of action.

Most owners manuals have this information. You should find it under maintenance or oil service. You can also call your local mechanic, who resets oil service lights everyday on a variety of models. A dealership will certainly have the information; however, finding someone in a dealership who can translate it effectively may be difficult.

If the above fails, see the process for Resetting Check Engine Light.

Note: several European models require special tools to reset the oil service light, thus its best to call or visit a specialist or dealer.

Note: This information is not a substitute for your vehicles owners manual. It is meant to be a general guide. Always refer to manufacturer vehicle-specific guidelines.

Note: PAY ATTENTION to how you are billed for any of the above warning concerns. Because of their technical nature they can get unnecessarily very pricy, quickly.

"No Games"...Meaning What Exactly?

Well, if you've ever read an online dating profile anywhere, you've invariably seen some version of today's Phrase Of The Day in there somewhere. This can come in the form of, "No Games!" or "I am sick of playing games!" or "I do not play games, and won't put up with it", among others.

Having read this phrase a few hundred times, I got a bright idea. I started asking people what they meant by that. The conversations, predictably, went about like this:

Me: So you say you don't want to "play games". What are "games", exactly?

They: Uhyou know"games".

Me: Such as...?

They: Well, you know, all these games people play.

Based on this pattern, there are three conclusions I could make:

1) People have no concrete idea what they mean by "No Games",...

2) ...If they do know what they mean, it's not a standard definition that the rest of us can relate to immediately, and...

3) ...It's altogether possible that people put "No Games" in their profiles just because everyone else did and it sounds like the thing to write.

My bet is that #3 is more often the reason than not. Lack of creativity has never been in short supply on dating web sites! That said, when so many people bring the "games" thing up-even putting it at their very headline in multiple instances-there's got to be something going on here.

So what's up with it? What DOES it mean?

After considerable thought and conversation, here are just some of the possibilities as far as what people are talking about here. I don't see this as an exhaustive list, and I welcome additions from readers. For your convenience, I've broken it down by gender.

GUY GAMES

1) What's a "game" without a "player"? -- Now, what a "player" is, exactly, is a whole nother topic, thereby adding complexity to this entire thing. Whoever he is, some women are "sick" of him. For the record, other women are inexplicably drawn to "player" types. So thank you, ladies, for clarifying up front what your preference isassuming, um, that's what you meant.

2) The dating "rules" of engagement -- This involves doing things or acting in a certain way based on unwritten protocol'. For example, when a guy gets your phone number/takes you out on a date/etc. he should wait three days to call you afterward, right?

3) Lying about intentions -- He "loves you" and wants a relationship. Or vice-versa.

4) Overpromising/underdelivering -- He says he has a "wonderful evening" planned for you. You are all excited, and you end up doing absolutely nothingagain. Another version of this is right after dinner out, while it's still early, he says he's really just ready to go home and "chill". This is categorized as a guy "game" because in my opinion the guy should have dates planned for the couple to enjoy, largely based on (hopefully) her favorite things to do/places to go.

GAL GAMES

1) Playing "hard to get" -- She leaves him hanging. A lot.

2) Marking territory -- This is all about getting involved in a guy's life in such a way that before he knows it, you are most certainly not going away anytime soon. (e.g. making friends with his friends, introducing his and her kids to one another, etc.)

3) Meal ticket -- She keeps him around because he'll buy her dinner, and stuffand that's really all. My personal opinion on this, BTW, is that if it's going on, it's the guy's fault. He has failed to create attraction on her part and besides, who can blame her?

4) Sexual control -- Anything under the general heading of "manipulation by sex" is a "game".

EQUAL OPPORTUNITY GAMES

1) Flakiness -- Generally described as saying something will get done and not delivering. Some people are legitimate all-around flakes/deadbeats, and that's no game. The game here generally involved flaking out on someone after committing to a date, etc. because a "better option" came along. That's Game City', baby.

2) Mind games -- Either hinting or outright saying something is so, and then pretending it was never said later. Acting in approval of some activity at one time, disapproving of the same thing another time. Carrots and Sticks. Carts and Horses. You get the idea, and this can take any form whatsoever. Everything from where the relationship stands to what size boxers the dude wears is fair "game" for this type of thing. This gig is all about controlling someone by weakness-usually in a passive aggressive manner (Which is, ahem, another topic for another day).

3) Presumptuous assumptions, what's your function? -- Whenever someone imposes on another person and says, "Oh, I just assumed" you have this going on. Example here would be A invites B (note careful avoidance of X and Y variables here) to drinks. A automatically expected B to pay the bill, and doesn't have money. Someone has been "played" here. Anything involving presumed use of the other's time, resources or talents is this sort of game. Ladies, if you automatically assume your guy is going to help you move (unless maybe if it's in with him?) you are looking at a problem waiting to happen.

4) Guilt trips -- A major tactic of manipulation, often characterized by projecting blame upon someone else rather than accepting any responsibility for one's actions. (In fact, run away from anyone who runs this brand of smack on a regular basis.)

NON-EXAMPLES

Just for the record, there are a few things that may seem like games, but be careful before you consider them such.

1) Not knowing what one wants -- If someone wants a relationship and the other isn't quite there yet, for whatever reason, the one driving the relationship often thinks the other is "playing games". Assuming everyone has been honest about intentions here, this frustration is merely to be called "not getting what one wants immediately". It's not a "game".

2) Details surrounding non-exclusivity -- If you are not in an exclusive relationship with someone, it is not a "game" when the other person is dating other people. Further, it's not a "game" when you are not being given details. In fact, if one person is asking the other for said details (for which there is no answer that will make said person happy, of course) that might in fact fall under the "game" category. Assuming exclusivity, by the way, is not a good strategy. People in exclusive relationships should have a common understanding that it's the case.

3) Outright stupidity -- Laugh hard if you must, but you know it happens. A or B did or said something in a bonehead moment, and the other thinks it was a deliberate tactic to derail things in general. Yeah, well, it may actually derail things. But it wasn't deliberate so it wasn't a "game".

So the summary here could theoretically be that if someone isn't being up front about something, the "game" is on.

Do You Want A Job Or A Home Business?

Which one are you looking for: a work at home job or a home based business? Did you answer "work at home job"? Most people will give the same response, not because they really want a boss breathing down their neck, just because they never realised having their own business was an option.

The sad truth is that just about all the people who don't consider anything beyond a traditional salaried job are going to be disappointed. No matter how hard or long they search, they won't find what they are hoping for. The reason for this is very simple: there are just not enough home based jobs to go round, there never have been. The work at home job opportunities you see advertised online will, on investigation, turn out to be freelance work or self-employed commission only work or, worst of all, scams. There are even unscrupulous website owners who will demand a fee from you to let you view a list of non-existent jobs.

The good news is that you can earn money at home even if you don't have a job. The Internet offers so many different ways to make money, you don't need to worry about whether you are working at a home based job or running your own home business. Here are some suggestions for different types of Internet work at home opportunities that can all be done on a part time basis to suit your commitments and personal preferences.

Online Surveys

Getting paid to participate in online surveys and focus groups is about the easiest way to earn money at home. You need absolutely no previous experience, special skills or knowledge. Market research companies just want to know the opinions of ordinary people and they are prepared to pay to get those opinions. The process is simple: you sign up with a company, they will notify you via email when a survey is available, you complete the survey, they pay you. All from the comfort of your own home.

Get Paid To

There are companies who will pay you to perform various online tasks such as reading commercial emails, signing up for free offers and playing games. This really is as easy as it sounds and you can perform these tasks at any time that suits you. You can sign up to individual companies who offer a particular variety of this type of work (eg get paid to read email companies). Alternatively, there are companies online where membership includes access to a selection of all sorts of different money earning opportunities. The individual tasks only take a matter of minutes to complete, so they can easily be done in your odd spare moments.

Online surveys and "get paid to" programs are about the closest thing to an employer-employee relationship we will be looking at in Internet opportunities. The companies send you tasks, you perform them and the companies pay you. The situation with the following work at home opportunities is different insofar as your earning capacity is limited only by your preferences and capabilities. In short: the more you do, the more you can earn.

Data Entry

Data entry programs are a little more advanced than online surveys but full training is included in the package and, if you have average typing skills and the ability to follow simple instructions, it is possible to earn a great deal of money doing online data entry. Online data entry is not the same as the old-fashioned boring and time consuming data entry work. The work can be completed in a spare half hour here and there to fit in with your day to day routines. You don't need any previous experience to do this work and, with the aid of the training provided, you can start earning money straight away.

Affiliate Marketing

Internet affiliate marketing offers a way to make money online without needing to have your own website. The way it works is simple: you promote other people's products and receive commission on the sales you achieve. It is possible to earn large sums of money through affiliate marketing. In order to be successful, you will need to learn how to market products effectively. It is, therefore, better to find a company offering training for affiliate when you first start out.

Multi Level Marketing

Multi level marketing is usually referred to just as MLM and, although it is frequently confused with illegal pyramid schemes, it is different. MLM is legitimate and can be a good way of earning money from home. The way it works is that you join the company and earn commissions for selling the company's products. ( The product could be just about anything you can think of eg satellite TV, phone services, cosmetics, wellness products, downloadable ebooks, insurance etc). You also recruit other people into the company. These people are placed in your "team" and you get paid a percentage of any sales your recruits generate. When choosing an MLM company, don't be swayed by promises of huge earnings. Obviously earning potential is important but the first thing to look at is whether you will feel happy to endorse the product. You won't be able to convince other people to purchase the product or to join you in your team if you don't have faith in the product.

You can earn money at home doing one or a combination of several of the above opportunities but none of them is a job by the usual definition of the word. You don't have a contract of employment, you are responsible for your own tax liabilities and you don't get paid holidays or sickness benefits. What you do get is your freedom and the chance to shape the quality of your own future both in financial terms and in terms of how you spend your time. Are you sure it's really a job you want?

Do You Use These 6 Clear Set Criteria In Selecting An Internet Home Business?

Are you spending hours and hours everyday in front of your computer looking for an internet home business? Without clear set criteria, you are simply wasting your time and most likely will fall on a spurious opportunity or an outright scam. With the hundreds of internet home businesses available online, you will literally freeze as to which of these you would join.

Listed below are the most important factors you should consider when choosing your internet home business.

1) Are people buying from this internet home business? Would there be people prepared to pay for this product or service? You may have a very good product with every bells and whistles included in it, but if nobody is buying, then what good is that in your business? How do you know that people are buying? Well, if the business has been running for a while, most likely, people are still buying the product or service. If it's a newer product then you'll have to use your guts. If you buy something and feel good about it then the likelihood is high that there will be a lot more people that will feel just as good as you did about buying it.

More competitors on the product or service would mean that you are in a viable market and you'll just have to learn to be good at selling or promoting your product or service. There are many internet home businesses in which you don't have to sell anything. Some of the best internet home businesses don't even require you to sell a product. How is this done? You simply refer potential customers to a company and get paid a commission on each customer you refer or who buys. What makes this kind of business extremely attractive is that you don't have to deal with customer support, product delivery or any of the normal home business troubles.

2) Training and Support. One of the most important aspects of any business system, especially if its new to you, is training and support. At least there should be an email address or a phone number to contact if you need personal help. Some internet home businesses provide a web based training and support to their members. The advantage of the web based training and support is that it is readily available anywhere and anytime as long as there is an internet connection. The training system and support should show all there is to know to make money on the internet and should also be easy to follow.

3) Little Experience Needed. The lack of technical knowledge greatly increases failure rates in internet home business. Imagine a mom whose only experience is tending the family, she decides to start an internet business, the next day, she is introduced to css, html, pop-ups, php, blog, merchant account, hosting, autoresponder, sales copy, etc. Instead of simply marketing her business, she would be buried into the technical stuff. A good internet home business should only require a little experience, say; a working knowledge of the internet and operating a computer should be enough.

4) Income Potential. Will this internet business bring in real money for you? Hey, were talking of business here not hobby. So the income potential should not be low. Another thing to inquire is if the income potential sustainable. You may get plenty of sales this month but what about the months that follow? Does it offer multiple streams of income so that when one income stream closes, there are still plenty left? Is the income recurring, that is, you get money every month? A good example is web hosting and subscription based sites. Every month you get paid.

5) Can Be Done Part-Time: This is very important because a lot of programs out there say they're the perfect part time business but the only way to get any real results is to do it full time. The main reasons you are embarking on an internet home business is the money and freedom that it brings. Freedom to spend your time at things you love. The internet home business you will choose should not tie you up in front of your computer for hours and hours. A good internet home business is pretty automated. Once you set things up, the business runs by itself. You spend a couple of hours a day, tweak and change some things, then leave the system to run.

When talking about internet home business, the second thing that comes to your mind, after money, is the lifestyle. Think of it, if you have to spend 8-10 hours per day in your internet home business, it doesnt leave much time for fun. That would be more of a job.

6) Company History: With so many scams out there, one thing to look for is a stable opportunity. Look for a business that has been around for a while, say 2 years. Well, there are new opportunities that are worthwhile but you should prefer for an internet home business that has been successful. You are going to invest your own money here so better be sure. You can go to search engines and check. Check the forums. Call the owner over the phone. Send an email to the owner and ask about the business.

These are the six basic things by which you measure an internet home business. Obviously, there are other things but the ones mentioned above are the critical starting points which when used would result in a good business decision.

Branding Lessons For Attracting Quality Women Online

Q: What dont great brands have to do?

A: Sell themselves.

Coke doesnt have to advertise flavor. It associates itself with happy images. Apple doesnt have to detail its great functionalities. It can just contrast itself with a clunky PC Bill-Gates stand-in.

Its exactly the same thing with dating.

In fact, its even more important in dating.

If you find yourself selling yourself youre selling yourself short.

And turning away women.

Women secretly hate it when you sell yourself. When you list your attributes. They sense weakness in the song and dance.

As always, online profiles are a great way to measure what guys are doing offline. So many guys profiles read like this

Hi, I am a really great guy. A diamond in the rough! One of a kind. I can do a hundred push-ups. I dress really well! I drive a BMW. I am kind and sensitive and manly!

In person, women may act like they are flattered when men dance for them like this. But what they like is the temporary power such flattery makes them feel.

The kind of power that vanishes the second the interaction is over -- because now they are left empty of that experience. All they retain is the uncomfortable feeling that you are submissive and dorky. They liked the feeling for a moment, but selling yourself leaves them feeling no connection at all, no sense of the solid man behind the show.

Go read twenty other guys ads. They almost all focus on listing their attributes. Very data-centric. Very puffed-up feathers, wild animal display behavior.

And very, very ineffective. Why?

Because the choose me! Buy me! advertising bullets that clutter most guys profiles blur one into the next. The effect is not only as if you are a car salesman or a vacuum salesman, but a salesman among a thousand others!

And anyway, is that how you want her to perceive you? As a floor salesman? As a carnie? A sidewalk hawker?

Think for a moment: in our culture, are those powerful, attractive models of manhood?

No. What else is wrong with the Im so great buy me! pattern of online personals writing? Well, from a semiotic point of view, many things:

*Facts are boring to women, they want feeling.

*Facts are bare, they are not contextualized into a story of who you are. Stories and fantasy visions are compelling and exciting!

*Facts are a writing no-no they are stated, or said, not shown and as any writer will tell you, the only power is in showing, not telling. You must show or demonstrate your attributes by what you write and how you write. It must be indirect, or a result of who you are. You must not blabber about how great you are.

*Your facts are unsubstantiated. Theres no back up. No testimonials.

Why should she believe you? Think about this

Can you imagine an infomercial where someone like Tony Robbins gets up for 30 minutes and just says how freakin fantastic he is?! How annoying and non-convincing would that be? Now throw in Nelson Mandela and movie producers and CEOs of Fortune 500 Companies interspersed in this commercial and now you have powerful selling. Because Tony, in the mind of the viewer, isnt selling himself.

Instead, become The Desirable Brand.

Or, as genius internet marketer, Alex Mandossian, says,

Educate Overtly; Sell Covertly.

What is your target market?

Any marketing expert knows two things:

1. Only a fool creates a product and casts around for a market.

2. The truly brilliant marketers find the market need first and then fulfill that need.

How do you apply this to dating? The easiest way in the world is with online dating, where women actually tell you exactly what they want in a man!

All you have to do is read their profiles very, very closely. Read between the lines, identify what they desire in a man. Are they asking for humor? Quiet authority? Love of dogs or animals?

Find the women who you want to meet and write your profile according to what they desire. Throw in how much you like dogs dont SAY it write about a time you were with your dog and were happy by a lake, on a trail.

Or if she says she loves a tv show, Scrubs, for example, show some insight into the show when you email her recall an anecdote or great line that means something to you and let her know why.

You dont say Hi! I like dogs, arent I great! Or, Hey! I love Scrubs too, dont we have so much in common!

The key to being a successful, non-self advertising brand:

Express yourself, dont advertise yourself.

And let her come to you, the attractive brand.

Link Tips to Increase your Google Ranking

An Internet business relies on website traffic. They find ways to drive traffic to their website from joint ventures to Google AdWords. This traffic provides a bounty of potential customers leading to sales. Another powerful method that drives traffic to your Internet business website is using links. Following is a list of link tips that not only increase the amount of traffic to your website, but can increase the quality of the traffic as well.

Link Tip #1: Always put several links to your website in the emails you send out. The goal of these emails is to get people to take action and go to your website. Provide clickable links at the top, middle, and in the P.S. at the end of the email. These links help train people to go to your website. Plus, having links in your email shortens the length of the email. This is easier on the eyes and attention span of the email reader. Essentially, you have short content in the email and then full content can be found when they click on the link and go to your website.

Link Tip #2: The right links can be powerful. Find websites that have a high page rank and relate to your website. Obtain a link from these websites to increase your ranking Google. Basically, you want to have high page rank sites that are related to your website pointing to you. For example, if you have a dog training website then you dont want to have an Internet marketing site pointing to you. Instead, you want a site about dog shows pointing to you. Quality links are very, very important.

Do you follow these two link tips? Some people falsely believe that quantity is better than quality. For example, they have a page full of links and not much content. The links may or may not come from Google high page ranked sites. The links may or may not relate to their website. These many low quality unrelated links can actually hurt them as search engines love related content and quality links.

Analyze the links on your website. See how you can modify them to increase your rank in Google.

Using Internet Marketing Strategy Can Double Your Sales Overnight

Do you have an Internet marketing strategy for your online business? You should. Internet marketing and Internet advertising, when done properly, can drive traffic to your website and practically double your sales overnight. In fact, advertising your site may be the only way for you to compete with larger, more established competitors.

While there are many different forms of Internet marketing strategy that you can employ, one of the easiest and most reliable forms is results tracking. When you track the results of your Internet advertising campaigns, you can quickly learn what works and what doesn't work. For obvious reasons, this method is much better than a random hit and miss advertising method, which can turn out to be quite costly, not to mention ineffective.

Of course, this form of Internet marketing strategy isn't anything new. Direct marketers have been using results tracking for years, and it can easily be adapted for the Internet. The key is to come up with a way to measure the results of Internet advertising accurately. If you're tracking is not accurate, there is little to no point in doing it.

To make sure their tracking results are accurate, many direct marketers use a trick known as split testing. Split testing uses a specific key or tracking device to associate a sale with the advertisement that produced the sale.

For example, in a print ad, the key or tracking device that may be used could be a specific phone number or extension. When a customer utilizes the number or extension, the marketer knows exactly which ad drove the customer to seek out the advertised product or service. If the same ad produced repeated sales, the marketer knows that the advertising is effective and worth doing again. On the other hand, if the ad didn't even produce enough sales to pay for the advertising, then the marketer knows not to try that again.

The same split testing method used by direct marketers can easily be adapted and incorporated into your Internet marketing strategy, allowing you to determine exactly how effective or ineffective your Internet advertising is.

To track the success and failure of Internet advertising, most Internet marketers typically use some sort of tracking software to associate the key with sales. A simple way to do this is to develop two web pages that feature two different ads. You can then track the sales results of each ad to see which worked best, and if necessary, adjust your Internet marketing strategy accordingly.

For example, let's say that on one of the pages, you received a total of 2,000 page views and 20 sales. This means that you have a success rate of one percent. Not bad. This is the average for both direct mail advertising and Internet advertising. Now that you have this information, you have statistics you can rely on. You can test other pages to see if they perform better or worse. You can also adapt the original pages to see if your changes have any effect on the sales outcome. For example, try adjusting headlines, graphics, text, and anything else you can think of. Then, compare the results of these changes to the original results.

After you have tested different variations of your Internet advertising, you can quickly determine exactly what works and what doesn't. Your Internet market strategy and any future advertising that you do can then be adjusted accordingly. If you succeed, you may be able to double your sales without throwing away good money over and over again on advertising that doesn't

How to Increase Your Business by 20% Without Spending a Dime on Marketing or Advertising!

The answer might surprise you - Develop a pro-active "human proof" referral system and use it all the time! Its that simple.

When I ask most people "how have they grown your business most successfully" they often tell me, its by word of mouth and referrals. Yet when I them what system (or methodology they use) to obtain referrals they dont have one. Its a random process at best.

Statistics show that today, it takes six more times the effort and money to get a new client to buy from you as it takes to get a second order from an existing customer or a referral. So why doesnt everybody ask for referrals from everybody they sell?

The reason is because there are emotions involved most people don't feel comfortable "asking" for referrals. Heres a rule - If you don't ask for a referral, you wont get many. Do you ask for a referral something like this: Do you know of anyone that might like our services? and your answer you get is almost always no not at this time, but if I do, I will be sure to tell them about you.

We've found that when you put an automated system in place that asks for a referral every time to everybody that buys, your referrals go up and so do your sales. You can usually expect to obtain at least one new referred customer from every five new customers asked. Thats a 20% increase in business without spending a dime on marketing or advertising.

So what should you say to get a referral? Heres the key - People think in pictures so you need to ask for a referral so it paints a picture in their mind of who they can refer. Ask them Do you have any clients that might like to take advantage of the savings and or quality service you just received? If you could take a moment and scan through your rolodex and see if anyone comes to mind that you could refer, and put their contact information on this form.

Also you should have a series of 3 5 steps mapped out that lead up to asking for the referral. It should look something like this.

1) First send a thank you letter or email.

2) Then follow up with a quick phone call.

3) Next follow up with another email to ensure everything went well after you delivered the product or solution.

4) Finally, send a letter or email with a script saying: Dear (customer), based on our previous communications, you are happy with the produce, service and follow up. I would like to ask a favor. Would you be kind enough to refer up to 3 people that you think might be interested in receiving the same quality and savings that you have experienced? Check your rolodex or any clients you have dealt with in the last 30 days and put them on the form I have provided. Ive attached a simple form. Again, thanks for being our customer and putting your trust in us.

Step 5 Put a note on your calendar to call them in 4-5 day and ask for the referrals if you didnt receive them.

Then put it into an automated process so every new customer was asked for a referral every time they purchased from youWithout Fail! You need to ask every new customer because:

They just made the decision to choose you instead of the competition!

People want to tell other people about their good decisions!

You are top of mind and have just provided them with a valued solution!

You have not had a chance to mess it up yet!

By automating the process of politely asking for referrals at your customer satisfaction stage of relationship you will obtain at least one new customer via referral for every four customers asked. It's like buying five customers and getting one free!

If you want to increase your sales by 20% without spending a dime on marketing or advertising, implement a system that is automated and human proof. Want an Exciting Change of Life? Try Living Overseas

Did you know that you can escape a boring life at home and experience international living by starting a simple service the local people need?

It's true. If you're from the USA, Canada, the UK, Australia, or New Zealand, and you're looking for more adventure, you can work abroad and live in any country that doesn't speak English as a first or second language.

How?

As you probably know, English is the top international language, spoken by 1.5 billion people as a first or second language around the globe. Many people who don't speak English need to speak it in order to succeed in business and school.

And that's where you come in - helping them with their spoken English. And it's just as easy as having a conversation with someone - no grammar, no drills. And I'm not talking about getting an overseas job by working at a school. I'm talking about starting your own mini-business - one where YOU decide when you want to work and who you want to work with.

It's easier than you think. Just follow these steps:

1. Choose your country

First of all, where do you want to live? Someplace in the tropics - like Thailand? Near a beach - like Rio? In an international center of commerce - like Shanghai or Tokyo? Whatever your choice, it must be a country where they don't speak English.

Also, why are you going? Do you want to study a foreign language? Do you love the food of that country - perhaps you want to learn how to cook it? Do you want to learn scuba diving or one of the martial arts? Maybe you're looking for romance... Get a fix on what you really want to do and it will make your stay much more rewarding.

2. On arrival

Before you go, do some research on your chosen country: pick up a travel guidebook like "Lonely Planet" or "Let's Go." Find out what the typical costs are and what visas you might need before you arrive. Pick a hotel or guesthouse you'd like to stay in and try to reserve a room.

Once you arrive, you might be asked by immigration what you are going to be doing in the country - just say you're a tourist. Say nothing about starting any sort of business: that requires a whole different visa and set of paperwork and is usually far more expensive.

After you've had time to adjust to this country. Pick up a cellphone (which you can get quite cheap in many countries) and some business cards - your hotel or guesthouse will tell you where you can get these vital items.

3. Getting Clients

Remember you're not looking for a job at a school, just people who are willing to pay you decent money for having a 1 or 2 hour conversation - believe me there are thousands of people who just want to talk - no formal lessons, no tutoring.

So your first stop is to look in the local English language newspaper. Check out the classified ad section and you'll almost always find ads placed by schools looking for teachers. Call them up and ask if they are looking for a native English speaker to give "conversation classes one-to-one or small group." Usually they are, so stop by and chat with them.

If you don't see any ads in the paper (unlikely since the demand for English instruction is so high, but some days have more ads than others), get a copy of the local yellow pages and look up "Schools" or "Instruction." You'll see ads for English schools like Berlitz, Inlingua, and smaller schools with acronyms like ALC, EEP, etc. Phone them and ask the same question as above.

EFL (English as a Foreign Language)agents hook up people looking to practice their English with native speakers. This is an informal way of getting a clients. Look for their ads in the newspapers, guesthouse bulletin boards, and on telephone poles and cafes in the backpacker tourist areas of town.

4. Working with clients

Now you've got some students/clients and you've never taught before what do you do? If their English is good, you'll be having conversations just like you do with your friends. Initial meetings will usually focus on small talk and the getting-to-know you stage. What do you do after you've finished that stage and your student isn't a brilliant conversationalist...or you're dealing with someone who is a beginner? I've found questionnaires a great way to keep the conversation rolling.

You can find questionnaires on the internet, in magazines, or you can just write them up yourself. Make 2 copies of each questionnaire - one for yourself and one for your student. Take turns asking each other the questions and elaborate on your answers. It takes about 10 questions to fill up an hour.

5. Money

If you are getting students through an agent or a school, you don't really have control over how much you make. But once you get students on your own, you'll be able to charge slightly less than the agents or the schools and make more money - and your students will be happy because you're saving them money. Ask other English teachers what you should be charging by the hour.

Once you get some students and you've developed rapport, it's time to ask them if they know anyone else who wants to practice their English conversation. Give them a few of your business cards to hand to family members, co-workers, and friends, and believe me, in a few weeks you'll have a ton of work. Try not to take an agent's or schools students away from them for obvious reasons but getting them to tell others about your services is perfectly legit.

There you have it: a simple program that allows you to live in practically any country you want - without formal training or academic credentials. You're no longer tied down to your home country - or any country for that matter. Ever thought about "country-hopping"? Well, now you can! The Convenience of Baby Bottle Warmers

If you have experienced being awakened in the wee hours of the morning for an urgent infant feeding, then you know just how important baby bottle warmers can be. You can save time and energy with these helpful items. They also provide a safe approach to warming formula and breast milk for your baby.

You have to choose the right brand in order to ensure satisfaction with these products. These days, there are plenty of baby bottle warmers available on the market. There are a number of styles and sizes in this kind of product. Since the price of vary a great deal in a certain type of product, you should do a little research before making a purchase.

I visited some stores when I was choosing items for my baby shower gift registry. I decided to choose baby items from Babies R Us and Target. Both of these retail chains offers excellent products at reasonable prices. However, I really didnt do any research about baby bottle warmers before I made a choice. I simply chose the least expensive product.

After a few days, I learned the hard way that not all baby bottle warmers are created equal. The product that I chose was really awful for a number of reasons. It was probably the only bottle warmer that heats the milk unevenly. I discovered that this model of baby bottle warmers only heated the very bottom of the bottle. The steam covered the bottom and never had a chance to really heat the top.

Since the milk did not heat up, I decided to just the bottle in hot water to heat it up. I decided to look into my options in baby bottle warmers. I discovered that all units were indeed not created equal after I did a little reading. As a result, I invested more than I wanted in baby bottle warmers but it was worth it in the end. The new item is a bit more expensive but I got what I paid for. At least, I learned that I should do some research before buying anything, especially if the price is too good to be true.

The Piano - Key, Hammer And String - Part 1

The piano, while similar in some of its features too many other kinds of musical instruments, differs materially in several important points from all other kinds. It resembles the Violin, Harp, Guitar, Zither, Dulcimer, in its being stringed. It resembles the Drum, Triangle, Cymbals, Tambourine, Dulcimer, in its being dependent on percussion for the production of its tone; and it resembles the Organ, Clarinet, Concertina, in its being keyed.

But it differs from all of these instruments in the following important points. Firstly, in its being dependent on the player's method of finger push on the key for its quality of tone. Secondly, in its being dependent on rapidity of finger push for its quantity of tone and thirdly, in its being dependent on keys for the means of producing percussion. The actual mechanism of percussion, namely, the hammers, being reachable only through the pressing of the keys.

It is probably from a want of appreciation of this last fact, that the piano has come to be considered rather as a keyed instrument than as a stringed one.

The distinctive feature of the piano is, then, the system of its key mechanism.

As the seat of tone, the wire, is made to sound only by a series of communication, starting with the key, it is therefore necessary to understand the method by which this communication is conducted and kept open.

The piano key is, basically, a lever that's lifts the hammer that strikes the string. It is a lever of the first class, its fulcrum, or prop, lying between the power and the weight. In the case of the piano, this fulcrum, or centre on which the lever works, is placed about halfway between its two ends, the hammer (with some small intermediate mechanism) being the weight, and the finger the power acting on it. The very limited area should be noticed within which the action of the key is confined.

The immediate factor of tone is the hammer. The hammer, by means of intermediate mechanism, being in direct and close contact with the far end of the key, is raised when the near end is depressed by the finger or any weight; and the force with which the hammer is made to strike the string is in proportion to the speed brought to bear on the piano key by the finger at the moment of the push. Quantity of tone is thus the result of the amount of speed used in pushing the key down.

When the string has been struck by the hammer, the hammer falls back immediately, to allow the string to vibrate freely. This fallback of the hammer is, however, not a return to the position occupied by it before the stroke; it does not fall completely back until the key is allowed to rise. When the piano key rises, the hammer returns to its original position, and is ready for the next key push.

It is of great importance for the student to remember that the hammer is always at some distance from the wire. Except during the very short period of time spent in striking; that after having struck the wire it leaves it instantaneously to assume the half position described above; and that it is powerless to do any more work until after the key has been allowed to rise.

Virginia Schools Students Face New Type Of Study Program This Fall

Virginia schools students recently have returned to school. Along with the studies and coursework they expected to face, they have a new program with which to deal a bullying prevention program.

Bullies are prevalent in all schools today. It has been a growing problem for the past decade. The emotional trauma experienced by victims of bullying is, in some cases, beyond belief. The results of bullying, both upon the victim and the bully, also are significant. We have seen some of these results in our news headlines shootings at schools, suicides, self-mutilation through cutting, depression and extreme emotional distress and these only the victims. Bullies, many times, develop very serious violent behavior with many ending up in prison; abuse their spouses, children and/or elderly parents; and sexually abuse others.

Bullying has become a real problem in the Virginia schools, with 12,709 incidents of crime and violence against Virginia schools students reported in the 2003-2004 school year. These incidents included physical assault with and without weapons, threats, bullying and one attempted rape. Another 89 incidents were reported on Virginia schools property that involved firearms. Another 21,128 incidents of fighting with no or minor injuries were reported by the Virginia schools, and 1,336 incidents of fighting that resulted in serious injury.

Bullying occurs when one or more students repeatedly subject other students to negative actions over a period of time. Bullying includes intentional physical attacks (such as hitting), obscene gestures, intentional exclusion from a group, and verbal attacks (such as threatening, malicious teasing, and spreading rumors).

Bullies are impulsive and hotheaded. They generally (but not always) have more physical strength than other children their age. Bullies lack empathy and have dominant personalities, a need to control and prove they are tough. They defy authority, do not conform to rules, have a positive attitude toward violence, and have poor conflict-resolution skills. Many times, bullies are children from abusive families but not always.

The Virginia schools are determined to stop the abuse in their schools. They have teamed with the Virginia Department of Health and Virginia Commonwealth University to implement the Olweus Bully Prevention Program, which began this fall. The program is funded by a grant of $290,615 from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention for each of the three years the program will run, between 2006 and 2009.

The Olweus Program was first used throughout Norway and addresses individual and bystander behaviors. It promotes social skills to eliminate the negative interaction between bullies and victims. It will promote parent and community education and collaboration within the Virginia schools.

According to State Health Commissioner Robert B. Stroube, M.D., M.P.H., the Olweus Program will directly address the behavioral tendencies that lead to becoming a bully or a victim. It will work to prevent all forms of violence in the Virginia schools that is directed by or at children and adolescents.

The U.S. Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration found the program has many benefits. The Olweus Program:

Reduced student reports of being bullied and bullying others by 30 to 70 percent;

Significantly reduced students reports of general antisocial behavior, such as vandalism, fighting and theft;

Significantly improved classroom order and discipline; and

Fostered a more positive attitude toward schoolwork and school.

The Virginia schools expect similar results across the commonwealth. Lessening bullying in the Virginia schools, means the Virginia schools students can put more focus on their coursework and scholastic achievement, and teachers can focus less on discipline and more on teaching. It is a plus for everyone.

Hand Mixers: The Ideal Tool For Light Work

Hand mixers are a vital part of any well-equipped kitchen today. Previously, they used to be heavy countertop devices with a solid base. The 1960s witnessed the arrival of the lightweight hand mixer. The subsequent decades saw further modification, leading to the development of today's light, sleek and chic hand mixers.

The hand mixer, as we know today, consists of three parts: beaters, a motorized unit, and an electrical cord. The body of the hand mixer is commonly cased in plastic while the beaters are made of metal. It is the beaters that whip up a frenzy of action when they are submerged in the food ingredients.

The hand mixers reduce cooking time, and get rid of the toil that is commonly associated with kitchen tasks. Among other things, they are used to beat egg whites, whip cream, mash potatoes, and mix cake batter. For heavier work, the heavyweight counterpart of hand mixers --the stand mixers--are preferred.

The hand mixers are quite economical and can be purchased from $20 to $100, in contrast to stand mixers that can cost several hundred dollars more. However, while shopping for hand mixers you must make certain that they fit snugly in your hand. There is always a possibility of the hand mixer slipping out of grasp or dropping to the ground if it has an awkward grip.

There are many cooks who insist on speed. This may be important at times, but it should not be the sole criterion when buying a hand mixer. Mixers with a speed of 16 may be less effective than those with an easy low-medium-high speed range. A great deal depends on the make and style of hand mixers.

Also, it is more practical to buy a hand mixer that runs on electrical power. The battery-powered hand mixers are not as powerful and their speed is affected as the battery wears down.

Six Questions That Produce Successful Web Advertising

You would think that everyone in business would be able to tell you what they do and why you should be doing business with them; unfortunately the sad truth is many business executives can't. In fact one of the biggest problems in designing websites has always been getting appropriate raw material that can be turned into meaningful presentations: a handful of badly written brochures and a few out-of-date photographs are not going to make much of an impression.

And now that the Web has involved into a sophisticated communication platform, able to deliver audio and video content, the problem has become even worse; not only do websites need to deliver appropriate copy and image content, they need to present audio dialog and video performances that demonstrate how products and services improve the business or personal lives of website visitors.

As a company we are good at what we do, we can turn the mundane into the memorable but we can't do it if clients don't know or can't express their own marketing story, or are unwilling to allow their multimedia advisor to develop that story for them.

At the heart of the problem is fear, fear of making a definitive statement, declaring loud and clear what you do, and why anyone should care. It's no longer good enough to apply technical solutions to marketing problems: you are not going to engage your audience with SEO, XML, CSS, or PHP. You must have a story to tell and you can't be afraid to tell it as boldly as you can.

Do You Know Who You Are and What You Really Do?

We know who we are and what we do: we deliver our message knowing that some people are just not going to buy into what we have to say, but those that do get it, really get it, and they are our potential clients. As far as the others are concerned, well, there's lots of business for everybody, and nobody is going to get it all.

You can't be afraid to loose a customer you never had in the first place. In our case our job is clear: we deliver marketing stories using Web-video and audio in memorable Web-presentations. We are not afraid to tell clients that they need multimedia, and that an over dependence on search engine optimization or any other technical answer is a mistake - a big mistake.

Are You Doing All You Can To Attract Business?

There are many methods that can be employed to drive appropriate traffic to your site: search engine optimization is only one. Have you written and published articles and advice on what you do, have you created a blog or a MySpace page to create a community of interest, or have you issued press releases on new developments and product releases? If you're relying solely on search engine optimization as a substitute for marketing, you are not doing everything you can to attract new business.

Even if your search engine tactics are attracting large numbers of visitors to your site, what is your conversion rate, how long are people staying on your site, and do you have enough compelling content to get them to come back?

If you're in the business of selling banner and text ads on your site, if that is how you make your living, then lots of random traffic may serve your purpose; but if you are in the business of providing something useful to people, then you better pay more attention to what your visitors see once they arrive on your site. After all, all the traffic in the world is useless if those visitors don't get your message. It all starts with the message, so what's your message?

What's Your Story?

Crafting your marketing story is not as easy as it sounds, and you may have to let go of some outdated thinking in order to bring your story to life.

Web-videos are not feature films or even viral videos intended to show how clever you are. You are making a commercial: special effects may be cool but they are not a substitute for a finely crafted script delivered by a professional performer.

Websites Don't Close Sales, People Close Sales

Web-videos are designed to make a statement: "this is who we are, and this is what we do, so contact us to find out how we can change your life." Websites create leads, not sales; so don't expect your Web-video to make the sale, that's your job.

Now you know the purpose of your website presentation, it is time to figure out what you want to say. Below are a series of questions that will help you develop your marketing story.

1. How will your product or service change your customer?

All stories or marketing messages have to do with change: a cosmetic company provides change from plain to beautiful, from self-doubt to self-confidence. A vitamin supplement supplier provides change from poor health to good health, from sluggish to vitality. A self-help motivational program provides change from defeat to victory, from depression to wellbeing, and so on.

All good marketing stories highlight the change that your audience wants to make in their business or personal lives. Go deeper than the obvious look for the psychological, emotional, cognitive or spiritual change your company delivers.

All successful campaigns are about change. People who are satisfied with their work and life aren't motivated to be customers; you want to target people who are motivated, people who want to be better, stronger, smarter, prettier, healthier, and richer; people who want more out of work and more out of life.

If your audience isn't motivated to change and if your product or service can't deliver that change, then you're wasting your time and your money.

2. Is what you have to say different?

If you are saying the same thing, the same way as your competition, you're in trouble. You must differentiate yourself somehow; you must standout. Your product or service must provide something different. The world is full of 'me-to' companies, businesses that do the same thing as dozens of other businesses. You must find that unique something in what you offer that makes you different; that says you are not a follower but a leader.

If your product or service is substantially the same as your competitors, perhaps you should market it differently, or maybe you should concentrate on the 'High Concept' need it delivers, rather than the standard 'same-old-same-old' that everyone else is touting.

Which one of 'Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs' does your product or service fulfill: physical, safety, social, self-esteem, aesthetic, cognitive, or self-actualization? Chances are your competition has completely ignored the psychological and emotional marketing angle and is focusing on specifications and features that have little to do with why people really choose one product over another.

3. Do you know how to tell your story?

You must have more than a story to tell or a message to deliver; you must know how to tell it. Your marketing should create a recognizable corporate image that establishes a unique identity in the mind of your audience. If your audience sees no difference between you and the competition then you become interchangeable.

Apple didn't capture the lion's share of the MP3 market just because their product is arguable better than everyone else's, they did because iPods are more than MP3 players, they are a life-style choice, clearly delineated in commercials and advertising.

4. Can you say it boldly?

The meek may inherit the earth, but if they're in business, they'll probably go broke. If you got something to say, SAY IT, and say loud and clear. There are just too many companies, too many websites, too many advertisements, and too much everything to expect people to pay any attention to you if you are afraid to stand up and be noticed. Go boldly or don't go at all.

5. Who is your target audience?

Decide who you want to target and what motivates them; then design your website, videos, and advertising campaigns to trigger every hot button motivating message you can. Develop your message so it speaks directly to that audience.

Your message must have purpose, be focused and concise, and deliver a clear impression of identity. This means you can't be all things to all people. By focusing on a clear audience with a precise message you may even have a better chance of capturing non targeted audiences: the fact that Apple iPod commercials are aimed at a hip young audience has not stopped Apple from capturing MP3 market share across all demographic profiles.

6. Can you take the heat?

Last but not least, do you have what it takes to tell your story in a way that people will remember? Are you prepared to deliver your message in the boldest, most audacious manner you can? Are you ready to give up on none productive audiences and concentrate on those motivated to say yes to your message? Are you able to ignore the odd complaint or nasty email objecting to your cutting-edge approach? Are you ready for the Web-video revolution?

You can buy contact lenses in a number of different ways. You can purchase them online, which is what most people are doing. Companies usually offer hundreds of contact lenses, which they deliver right to your house. When you order online you can get an excellent price.

You can also buy your contact lenses at your opticians office. Or you can buy them at a local store, for example Wal-Mart.

If you shop around, you can usually uncover some fantastic deals for your contacts. The prices vary depending on the brand and type. The latest brands of lenses are usually expensive.

You must have a prescription in order to buy contacts. Your optician will let you know if you can wear contacts. Different contact lenses suit different people.

Here are few things to keep in mind when choosing the right type of lenses for you.

1. What is your lifestyle? For example, if you use a computer all day then you might consider wearing glasses because computer use can dry your eyes out. On the other hand, daily disposable contacts will be easier to play sport in than glasses.

2. Dry eyes problem. Get contact lenses that mainly contain silicone. You can also use contact lens comfort drops.

3. What about allergies? Allergies can make your eyes very sensitive. In this case, you should choose daily disposable lenses.

4. What about your job? If you have a job which means that you have to stay up all night, get extended wear lenses. These lenses can be worn continuously for a certain period of time.

5. Think about hygiene. If your fingernails get dirty at your work or if you smoke then daily disposable lenses are the way to go.

The Top 10 Ways To Improve Your Interview Body Language - Part Two

The following article concludes the top 10 ways to ensure that you show good interview body language. Make sure that all the preparation you do for a job interview isnt in vain. Your body language is key to job interview success.

The final 5 of the top 10 ways to improve your interview body language are as follows:

6) Make sure that your eyes sparkle

Its all very well having good eye contact at your interview, but if your eyes arent looking bright and interested then youre making life difficult for yourself! Make sure that you have a good nights sleep your interview. Remember this is a very important day you need to look your best and have no bags under your eyes! If you want your eyes to sparkle then its worthwhile getting some whitening eye drops. It doesnt cost much but it will work.

7) Be engaged

Its important to be subtly positive at your job interview. You need to demonstrate that youre actively taking part in the interview. When your interviewer is telling you about the job role and company, make sure that you nod subtly. This shows that you are listening and are interested in what they are saying. It shows that your are engaged in the discussion process and want to be part of the organisation.

8) Breathe deeply

One of the best ways to relax before an important interview is to breath deeply. If you breathe deeply, not only are you relaxing by slowing your rapid, nervous heartbeat, youre also ensuring that your brain has as much oxygen as possible. This means that youll be able to think clearly at your interview and be able to respond to difficult questioning more rapidly. Breathing deeply before an interview will provide you with the effective combination of being relaxed and alert at the same time.

9) Accept an offer of a glass of water

You may not feel like a glass of water, but taking a sip from a glass of water can have a calming effect on your interview performance. It can give you an opportunity to collect your thoughts while refreshing you. It will also give you a chance to get used to the surroundings while the interviewer is out of the room getting the glass of water. This will also give youre the opportunity to gather your thoughts and decide upon any amendments to your interview strategy as well as reviewing your prepared responses to questions.

10) Practice your handshake

So many people havent got the right professional handshake. Remember that this is part of the first and last impression that you leave at the interview. If you have a weak, limp handshake then this tells the interviewer that you may not have the ability to deal with confrontation. On the other hand, if your handshake is too strong, then you may not be a good listener. You may be quite confident about controlling a situation, but you may be less likely to be democratic in approach. To demonstrate the happy medium, have a firm but not hard grip, make good eye contact at the same time and mirror the style of the person whose hand you are shaking.

In summary, mirroring is the key. If youre able to subtly copy the tonality of your interviewers body language, youll find it much more easier to communicate because youll be speaking the same silent body language. This will put you streets ahead of the competition in the race for your dream job.
